Full Product Description

A language lesson that fits inside your day.

The Spanish WalkSet™ includes a feather-light open-ear headset, and a complete 30-hour Spanish course already loaded inside it. It’s language learning like you’ve never experienced it – interesting, easy and fun.

How it works

There's nothing to download and nothing to pair. You switch it on, head out for your walk, and a patient teacher takes you through your course asking questions and helping you build real sentences.

The WalkSet is designed to maintain your connection to the outside world - the headset rests on your cheekbones instead of inside your ears, so you hear everything: your lesson, the traffic, the birds, the doorbell, or your friend beside you. You stay safe, present and comfortable.

Introducing The StrideWise Method™

With The StrideWise Method, you're never asked to memorize lists or grind through flashcards. You start from the Spanish hiding inside English, build one sensible step at a time, and end up making your own sentences you'll be able to use on holiday, at work, or with family members.

Why you'll love it

  • Study when it suits you - a fascinating ten to twenty minutes of Spanish, easily woven into your day. Head to the park, the golf course, walk the dog. Didn’t catch a word? Spare 10 minutes later in the day? Just repeat the course next time you’re moving around. Many users report doing each day’s course a couple times.
  • Open ears with the WalkSet - you’ll be able to hear your lesson and the world (safe near roads, easy to wear for hours).
  • No rote memorization - The StrideWise Method has you understanding, not cramming.
  • Works straight out of the box - no app, no Bluetooth required

What you'll learn

The Spanish Walkset contains eight modules that follow real life, from your first hellos to swapping stories over dinner.

8
modules, in a natural order
144
bite-size lessons
~30
hours of audio tuition
100%
spoken, hands-free

Independently reviewed

A strong course with unusually good pedagogical instincts.

It understands the central problem of an audio-first language course: the learner must be made to generate language, not merely listen to polished Spanish and echo it. The course commits to eliciting before explaining, one-new-idea-at-a-time sequencing, recycling in fresh contexts, audio-only use, and a Latin American variety appropriate for learners in the US. That is a very solid foundation.

Independent review by a language-education specialist

Module 1 · First words Words You Already Own Your very first exchanges - saying hello, asking for what you want, ordering a coffee. 11 lessons

From zero to your first real sentences - built from the hundreds of Spanish words an English speaker already half-knows. You’ll want, need and ask for things, say no, and turn any statement into a question just by lifting your voice - all before a single grammar rule.

You’ll be saying

  • Quiero un café.I want a coffee.
  • Necesito ayuda.I need help.
  • ¿Tiene un minuto?Do you have a minute?
Module 2 · Naming your world Naming & Describing Things The things around you - your home, your work, and the people and objects in your day. 9 lessons

Lay the noun system on top of your engine - with gender made simple (it belongs to the word, not the object) and a big set of describing words that just work, no fiddly agreement to learn yet.

You’ll be saying

  • La casa es grande. The house is big.
  • Es una buena idea. It’s a good idea.
  • Tengo una pregunta.I have a question.
Module 3 · Getting around Where Things Are Around town - finding places, getting to work, and asking the way. 10 lessons

Find and reach anything - ask where it is, say where you’re going, handle prices, the numbers you need, and telling the time.

You’ll be saying

  • ¿Dónde está la oficina?Where is the office?
  • Voy al trabajo.I’m going to work.
  • ¿Cuánto cuesta?How much is it?
Module 4 · At the table The Present Tense, Earned Meals out and in - ordering, paying, and sharing food with friends and family. 11 lessons

Order and pay with ease - and unlock the present tense the gentle way: not as a wall of conjugations, but as something you discover you already half-speak.

You’ll be saying

  • Me gustaría la carta.I’d like the menu.
  • La cuenta, por favor. The bill, please.
  • ¿Puedo pagar con tarjeta?Can I pay by card?
Module 5 · Shops & errands The Twins, & Stems That Shift Everyday errands - sizes and colors, prices, and counting your money. 10 lessons

Finish the verb engine cheaply - the other two verb families turn out to be near-twins of the first - then describe what you see in full color, with sizes and prices.

You’ll be saying

  • ¿Cuánto cuestan?How much are they?
  • Prefiero el vestido rojo.I prefer the red dress.
  • La comida es deliciosa. The food is delicious.
Module 6 · Out and about Joining, Pointing, Possessing Making plans - this place or that one, what’s mine and yours, near and far. 10 lessons

Multiply your sentence length - point at this and that, say what’s mine and yours, place things near and far, and join short thoughts with and, but and because.

You’ll be saying

  • Quiero visitar a mi familia.I want to visit my family.
  • Está cerca, a la derecha. It’s nearby, on the right.
  • Mis llaves están aquí.My keys are here.
Module 7 · Help & health The Little Words That Move When you need a hand - asking for help, saying what hurts, sorting a problem. 10 lessons

Master the small words — me, you, it — that smooth every interaction, plus the phrases that matter most when something goes wrong: asking for help, saying what hurts, handling allergies.

You’ll be saying

  • ¿Puede ayudarme, por favor? Can you help me, please?
  • Me duele aquí.It hurts here.
  • Estoy perdido.I’m lost.
Module 8 · Telling your story And Why Two ‘To Be’s Stories and small talk - what you did at the weekend, where you’re from, getting to know people. 9 lessons

Cash out the final rewards — the past tense for telling the story of your day, the two Spanish verbs for “to be” at last, and the small talk that turns a quick hello into a real conversation.

You’ll be saying

  • ¿Cómo te llamas?What’s your name?
  • Fui al parque.I went to the park.
  • Me gustó mucho.I really liked it.

Your first real conversations are waiting.

Honestly, I much prefer when it's just the instructor and a single, competent student. Whenever a course introduces a whole group - especially when those students struggle - it just bogs everything down. It makes the lessons feel disorganized and chaotic, which totally kills my focus.

Robert Davis Verified

I had a fantastic experience with it! Even though I eventually moved on to other things, being able to stream the audio while taking walks was a game-changer for me - it gave me a perfect excuse to get out of the house. I've recommended it to so many friends who found success with it too. The tempo is a perfect sweet spot: slow enough that you can catch and correct your own mistakes, but fast enough to keep you engaged. It helped me progress way faster than Duolingo, which started to feel incredibly limiting after a while.

That's interesting, because I absolutely couldn't just walk around while listening. I had to sit down, focus completely, and keep my finger on the pause button. One trick I used was opening up Google Translate and using the voice-to-text feature to say my answers out loud. It let me double-check my pronunciation and actually see how the words were spelled. That might not be as necessary if you're already familiar with the alphabet, but it's a lifesaver when you're learning a brand new script.

Carlos Rodriguez Verified

Without a doubt, this is the absolute best resource out there for a beginner learning Spanish. Nothing else even comes close.

Susan Taylor Verified

I can't think of a better launching pad for an English native trying to learn Spanish. In just about 12 hours, the instructor manages to map out all the foundational grammar structures and verb conjugations. On top of that, he highlights all the linguistic bridges between English and Spanish, which instantly unlocks a massive vocabulary without raw memorization.

Co-signed. I went from only understanding basic present-tense verbs to being able to deconstruct and comprehend almost any Spanish sentence thrown my way (even if it takes me a little while to process it). In terms of sheer efficiency, it is easily the most powerful and well-designed educational course I've ever taken, regardless of the subject matter.

Deborah Jackson Verified

I fell in love with this method. It focuses heavily on the historical origins of words, which completely unlocked something in my brain. It made the language feel deeply logical instead of just a tedious exercise in flashcard memorization. By the end, I felt practically fluent - I definitely wasn't, but it gave me an amazing head start.

Michael Peterson Verified

Even as an intermediate Spanish student, I found this incredibly useful for reinforcing my foundation and simplifying complex rules. It does move at a brisk pace, meaning I had to constantly pause it to think. Because of that, it's not ideal background audio for driving or working out; it requires your full attention. It might actually be a little overwhelming for a total day-one beginner, so I view it as an amazing supplementary tool to run alongside other studies. I do wish there was a table of contents to make jumping back to specific concepts easier - but overall, I'm really glad I stuck with it past the first few introductory episodes.

James Wilson Verified

I'm currently minoring in Spanish in college as a returning student, and this course has given me a massive boost in my classes. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Richard Murphy Verified

The actual Spanish linguistic info is high quality, but the delivery can be a bit dry and clunky. To be honest, the narrator's personality grated on me a little bit. That being said, the actual educational content is incredibly solid.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a phone or an app?

No. The Spanish is already inside the headset. Switch it on and start - no app, no account, no Bluetooth pairing.

I'm not techy. Will I manage?

Easily. If you can switch on a radio, you can use this. Setup is a single minute, and there's a guide in the box.

I'm worried my memory isn't what it was.

Aren't we all?! This method is made for exactly that. We developed The StrideWise method with nothing to memorize - you understand things instead of cramming them, which is far easier and far more enjoyable.

Is the sound private?

Yes - at a normal volume only you hear it, while your ears stay open to the world.

Can I really return it?

Yes - 30 days, full refund, return shipping on us. Take it on a few walks first.
